Today is National Healthcare Decisions Day

Have you had "the talk" with loved ones about your end-of-life wishes? Most people haven't. Kimbrough Law is participating in a massive effort to highlight the importance of advance healthcare decision-making—an effort that has culminated in the formal designation of National Healthcare Decisions Day on April 16.

National Healthcare Decisions Day is an important day of awareness and education focused on encouraging everyone, including those who are healthy and in the prime of their life, to think about and document care treatment preferences before a crisis. As a result of National Healthcare Decisions Day, fewer families and healthcare providers will have to struggle with making difficult healthcare decisions in the absence of guidance from the patient. Healthcare providers and facilities will be better equipped to address advance healthcare planning issues before a crisis and be better able to honor patient wishes when the time comes to do so.
