Learn How to Avoid Costly Mistakes During the Elder Care Journey

If the prospect of caring for an aging relative is looming in your future or you know someone who is burning the candle at both ends to care for an elderly loved one, a free workshop in Gainesville will provide insight, tools, and strategies to make the caregiving journey easier.

The Elder Care Journey: How Will You Manage? is set for 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Gardens of Gainesville, 3315 Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville. The program is being hosted by Kimbrough Law and Gardens of Gainesville.

“The way we saw our parents or grandparents manage the care of elderly relatives no longer works today,” said W. H. (Kim) Kimbrough, Jr., attorney and founder of Kimbrough Law. “People don’t realize that longer life, unrealistic expectations, the high cost of care, and issues of control can create massive conflicts that can tear families apart. Sometimes the damage is permanent.”

Adults ages 45 and older who are looking after elderly loved ones or who may be doing so in the future are encouraged to attend. Wine and heavy hors d’oeuvres will be provided. Pre-registration for this free event is requested by Thursday, September 26.
