Dementia Caregiver Resources

When a loved one is diagnosed with dementia, the diagnosis marks the beginning of what is can be a very a long journey filled with unpredictable twists and turns. Family caregivers often find themselves forced to learn as much as they can about the disease. It can be like starting a Ph.D. program in dementia caregiving--all while balancing work and family responsibilities with caregiving duties.

That's why we get excited when we discover new websites for family caregivers trying to get their arms around the situation. Websites like Together in This are often started by people whose loved ones were diagnosed with dementia. They document their journey along with the results of their own research and share it with the world. We are grateful to everyone who does anything to make the journey easier for those who follow.

Here are links to other websites you may find helpful if you're trying to get your arms around a caregiving situation.
