The trees are leafing, the flowers are blooming, and Easter is just a few weeks away. What activities, events, and traditions do you look forward to each spring? We posed this question to members of the Kimbrough Law staff. Here's what they said.

Allie Adkins, Attorney

"Easter is one of my favorite holidays! We go to church as a family and then have a big lunch afterwards at a family member’s house. We alternate who hosts the meal but we always have an Easter Egg hunt for the little kids after lunch. We spend time together as a family and then go home for a much-needed afternoon nap! This Easter will look a little different because we’re having a baby right before! Not sure what the plans are yet!"

Elise Wilson, Firm Administrator

We always look forward to warmer weather and longer days in the spring! We enjoy getting out and taking walks or riding bikes around the neighborhood in the evenings and spending time with our neighbors and friends. On the weekends, we like taking days trips and find new things to explore – Helen is always a favorite!

Once it starts to get warm I can’t wait to dust off my paddle board. I’m not the most graceful paddler so I always hope not to fall…the weather might be warm but the water is still cold! It’s worth it to get out on the lake.

I always know that springtime is right around the corner when I start seeing advertisements for Twilight Criterium. For 45 years, the streets of Athens come alive with elite bike racing, good vibes, and a community-wide festival that brings together generations of fans and participants alike. Twilight has been an enduring symbol of ALL THINGS ATHENS. Twilight is by far my favorite springtime tradition. When my children started UGA, I went to my first Twilight and I haven’t missed once since. Once I moved to Athens 8 years ago, I make sure that I’m always in town the last weekend in April.  We get together with friends on one of the turns and watch all the racers zoom by us. It’s so fun to feel the wind as they fly by us.
