What's Your Favorite September Activity?

During September, the heat of summer lingers while your thoughts turn to to things like football, boots, and pumpkin spice lattes. What is your favorite thing to do during September? We posed this question to selected members of the Kimbrough Law staff. Here's what they said.

I like to go to all the fall festivals in September especially the Yellow Daisy Festival. It's a family tradition! We love all the food, the small business vendors, and just enjoying being outside in the beautiful fall weather.

September is the time when we complain constantly about the heat and the humidity while wondering if fall will ever come. I can’t wait for it to cool off WHILE SIMULTANEOUSLY trying to squeeze in every last minute possible on water activities like swimming and paddle boarding before fall gets here.

During September, I like to start thinning our garden and repotting our flowers for beautiful, bigger blooms the following year! My family and I start having our family bonfire nights as we anticipate the coming holidays. We play music and cook hot dogs over the fire. Our dog, Kai, loves to sit outside with us during our bonfire nights.  😊

My favorite thing to do in September is cheering on the University of Georgia Bulldogs. It is a great way to kick off fall and it means that I’m diving right into football season with tailgates, red and black gear, and Sanford Stadium energy. I encourage everyone in the office to wear red and black on Fridays before a game. We usually go to two or three games a year, but tailgating is often the best part of the game day experience. There is always great food, drinks, good company, music, and the buzz of Bulldog pride without the stadium lines. If we don’t have tickets, then we watch the game on tv at our tailgate which is a much better spot so we don’t miss any plays. Come visit us and say hi!  We are located by the UGA tennis courts on campus.
